Housewarming Catering
Gruhapravesam feasts, cooked fresh and served in the traditional order.
A housewarming begins before dawn, with the pooja and the boiling of milk, and ends with the first meal shared in the new home. For gruhapravesam functions, KAP Food Catering prepares a traditional vegetarian meal: sambar, rasam, kootu, poriyal, appalam, payasam and a sweet, served on banana leaves or as a simple buffet. Many families also like a simple breakfast for the priests and early visitors, and we can plan that too.
We plan around the auspicious time your family has fixed, so the meal is ready when the rituals end. Our team arrives with everything needed to cook and serve, looks after your guests through the meal and clears up afterwards, so the family can stay with the pooja and the visitors. The menu is strictly vegetarian, as befits the occasion.
