Privacy policy

Who we are

KAP Food Catering, 5/1063, Near SETC Depot, EB Colony, Seelapadi, Dindigul 624004 ("we", "us"). Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we are the data fiduciary for the personal data you share with us.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we receive only what you choose to share: your name, mobile number, email address if you give it, and event details (event type, date, expected guests, food preference, venue and any notes).

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare your quotation and, if you book with us, plan and cater your event. By sending an enquiry you consent to this use. We do not sell your details or use them for advertising.

How it reaches us and where it is kept

When you send the enquiry form and tick the consent box, your details are saved in our private enquiry database (hosted by Supabase), which only KAP can access, and emailed to KAP so we can reply quickly. We also record when you gave consent. If you give your email address, we send you one email confirming that we received your enquiry. Once a week a backup copy of the enquiry list is emailed to KAP. After sending, you can continue on WhatsApp with your details filled in; messages on WhatsApp are also covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. We use enquiry details only for the purposes above.

How long we keep it

Only as long as needed to respond to you and, if you book, to complete your event and keep the records the law requires. We keep enquiry details for up to 2 years, then delete them.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or update it, ask us to erase it, withdraw your consent, and raise a grievance with us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

How to ask us to delete your details

Call or WhatsApp us on +91 90436 40067 and tell us the name and number you used. We will confirm once your details are deleted.

Cookies

Only if you tap Accept on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics (to see which pages visitors use) and the Meta Pixel (to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads). They set cookies and receive details such as the pages you visit, your browser and device, and your IP address. Your name, phone number and email from the enquiry form are never sent to them. If you tap Decline, they are not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

The map on our home and contact pages is provided by Google Maps. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
